Bathroom & Kitchen Plumbing in Pueblo
The rooms with all the plumbing in them are the rooms you use most, so this is where the small annoyances live — the drip, the running toilet, the shower that turns cold when someone starts the washer. We fix those, install new fixtures, and do the plumbing side of remodels.
What we do in these rooms
- Faucets and taps — dripping, seized, or just dated. Replacing a cartridge is often all a drip needs.
- Toilets — running, weak flush, rocking, leaking at the base, or straight replacement.
- Sinks and vanities — new installs, swaps, and the supply and waste connections behind them.
- Showers and tubs — valves, cartridges, diverters, shower heads, surrounds and tub swaps.
- Garbage disposals — installation, replacement and unjamming.
- Dishwashers and ice makers — the water supply and drain side of getting them connected.
- Remodel plumbing — rough-in for a new layout, moving supply and waste lines, and setting fixtures at the end.
Running and leaking toilets
A running toilet is the most common call in this category and usually the cheapest fix — typically a worn flapper, a misadjusted float or a tired fill valve. Worth doing promptly, though: a toilet that runs continuously can waste hundreds of gallons a day, and you pay for every one of them.
Water appearing around the base is a different matter. That usually means the wax seal under the toilet has failed, which lets water escape at floor level every time it is flushed. Left alone it works into the subfloor, so it is one to deal with rather than mop.
Showers that run hot and cold
If your shower swings temperature when a toilet flushes or the washing machine fills, the balancing cartridge in the shower valve has worn out. These exist specifically to stop that happening, and replacing one is usually straightforward. It is worth doing rather than tolerating — a sudden hot swing is a real scalding risk for children and older adults.
A shower that never gets properly hot is a different problem, pointing at the water heater or a mixing valve that has drifted. Our water heater page covers the heater side.

Remodels and renovations
If you are redoing a bathroom or kitchen, the plumbing decisions happen earlier than most people expect. Moving a sink, adding a second basin, converting a tub to a walk-in shower or relocating a toilet all mean moving supply and waste lines, and waste lines in particular need proper fall and venting to work — which constrains where fixtures can realistically go.
That is worth knowing at the design stage rather than after the tiling is ordered. We are happy to look at a plan and tell you what is straightforward, what is awkward, and what will cost noticeably more than it looks like it should.
On a remodel we handle the rough-in while walls are open, then come back to set the fixtures once surfaces are finished. Larger jobs are covered by the 1-year guarantee.
Garbage disposals
Disposals handle less than people assume. Grease, coffee grounds, eggshells, pasta and rice, fibrous vegetables, bones and fruit pits all cause problems — either jamming the unit or building up in the line past it, which turns into a drain problem shortly after.
A disposal that hums without turning is usually jammed rather than dead, and often recoverable. One that does nothing at all may just need the reset button on its underside before anyone assumes the worst.
Bringing your own fixtures
Plenty of customers pick out their own faucet, toilet or shower set, and we are glad to fit it. The only thing to be clear on is that our guarantee then covers our installation work, while the fixture itself is covered by its manufacturer. If it turns out to be faulty we will help you take it up with them, but we cannot warrant something we did not supply.
If you are replacing something old, send us the model before you buy. Hole spacings and connection types vary more than you would think, and not everything drops into an existing opening.
What it costs
Fixture repairs are $120 per hour during regular hours, and $240 per hour for emergency work outside them when you need help right away. Remodels are quoted after a free estimate rather than billed by the hour, so get a free quote today. See the full rate table.

People Ask
Bathroom & kitchen questions
Why is my toilet running, and how can I stop it?
A running toilet is usually caused by a worn or misaligned flapper valve, fill valve, or float inside the tank. Sometimes the flapper doesn’t seal properly, allowing water to continuously leak into the bowl. You can try:
- Checking if the flapper is sealing correctly
- Adjusting the float level
- Replacing the flapper if it’s worn out
If the problem continues, it’s best to have a professional plumber inspect it. A running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water per day, which increases your water bill.
What should I never put down my garbage disposal?
Garbage disposals are convenient, but they’re not designed for everything. Avoid putting these items down your disposal:
- Grease, fats, or cooking oil
- Coffee grounds
- Eggshells
- Pasta, rice, or starchy foods
- Fibrous foods like celery or corn husks
- Bones or fruit pits
These items can cause clogs, dull the blades, or damage your plumbing.
Why does my shower go hot and cold?
If the temperature swings when someone flushes a toilet or starts the washing machine, the shower valve is not balancing pressure the way it should. Most modern showers use a pressure-balance or thermostatic cartridge precisely to prevent that, and when one wears out the swings come back. Replacing the cartridge is usually a straightforward job.
A shower that runs cool no matter the setting is a different problem — often a water heater that is undersized, set too low, or losing capacity to sediment, or a mixing valve that has drifted. Either way it is worth diagnosing rather than living with, because a scalding swing is a genuine hazard for children and older adults.
Can you install a faucet or fixture I bought myself?
Yes, and plenty of customers do. If you have found a faucet, toilet, sink or shower set you like, we are happy to fit it.
One thing to be clear about: when you supply the fixture, our guarantee covers our installation work, and the product itself is covered by its own manufacturer’s warranty rather than by us. If the fixture turns out to be faulty, we will help you deal with the manufacturer, but we cannot warrant something we did not supply.
It is worth sending us the model before you buy if you are replacing something old, as fittings and hole spacings vary and not everything drops into an existing opening.
